When we first got to Redmond, we lived in a lovely boring apartment in "downtown Redmond". Then we realized that we were sick of having neighbors with adjacent walls and bought our first house:

After putting $15,000 into the first house to make the kitchen and windows and doors the way we wanted, we decided to go for broke and upgrade to a new house. And I mean a NEW, new house. Here you can see it on a nice day:

Here are some pictures of the model home from the development and our house before we moved in.
We loved that house, except for its location. It was far away from both my parents and work, and with the baby on the way, we decided that we wanted to move closer to both. We finally found this house:
